​​Health & Wellbeing

• All dogs staying at our boarding kennels and attending daycare are required to be vaccinated for the following: DHP Distemper Hepatitis Parvovirus. Leptospirosis – given annually. Kennel/Canine Cough – given annually.  The vaccine for Canine Cough will take 7 days to be effective, but can be reduced to 3 - 5 days if given by nose or mouth.

• Cats must be fully vaccinated against Feline infectious enteritis, Feline viral rhinotracheitis (Feline Herpes Virus) and Feline calicivirus, and must have had all booster vaccines that are current according to the vet that provided them.

​

• Please ensure your cat/dog has had up to date flea/worm treatment. If treatment is deemed necessary during the stay the cost will be added to your bill.

​

• We will seek veterinary attention for your pet if we consider it necessary, If your animal becomes ill and you cannot be contacted the appropriate treatment will be decided by a veterinarian. Any expenses incurred will be paid by the Pet's owner

​

• Management requires an emergency contact if you are unavailable by phone. This contact must know your full wishes if your Pet was to need any veterinary attention and be able to uplift your pet if required. 

​

• We accept your animal on the basis that it is in good health and condition, and you have disclosed to us everything we should know about your pet on booking, and on arrival 

​

• Any medication to be administered during your pet’s stay with us must be left in clearly marked containers with instructions.

​

• Although every bit of care is taken while your Pet is at Playful Paws we cannot accept responsibility in any respect of an animal whilst it is under our care. All animals are left at the owner's risk.

​

• Dogs from seperate households sleep in their own kennel. 

​

• All dogs are required to come for a trial if they haven't stayed with us before or within the past 12 months.​​ Trials are an important part of integrating your dog into our facility and ensuring that they are going to be happy and comfortable on their stay here with us.  Trial visits require your dog to be dropped off in the morning and collected the following morning however we recommend that this is organised at a time when you will be available incase you need to collect your dog earlier.

• We offer a bath & dry service at an additional cost.

Pick up/Drop off hours & Viewing the facility

​

• Viewings are by appointment ONLY. Please get in contact via email or phone to arrange a time to view our facilities. Do NOT show up unannounced.

​

• You may pick up or drop off your pet in our opening hours (Tues-Fri) 7.30-9.30am (Sat-Mon) 8am-9.30am and 3.30pm-5.30pm (Daily)
   

• Drop-off and Pick-up during out of our normal hours is limited. Sometimes can possible by prior arrangement only for $30 extra.

Payments & Bookings

​

• Payment is required in full when collecting your Pet. During the peak season payment is required in full on the day of your Pets arrival

​

• Non refundable deposits will be required to secure bookings in peak times (16th December to 28th January) and any public holidays​

​

• On allocated Public holiday days there is a implemented surcharge of $8 extra per animal

​

• Prices may have changed since your booking, we usually give notice in advanced to a price change. 

​

Behaviour

​

• Aggressive dogs, and excessive barkers will not be accepted (inform us before booking if your dog falls into these categories! - Failure to do so may result in your booking being terminated mid stay with the dog boarded off site at your expense).

​

• We please ask you to be honest about your pets behavior/needs when booking

​

People, Property and Cars

​​

• All dogs must be on a lead and cats in cages when getting out of the car on arrival. Please wait until someone attends to you.

​

• We accept no responsibility for any such loss, harm or damage to yourself, your vehicle or your pet/s whilst you are on the property.

​

• You must keep to a low speed limit when driving on the property 

​

• You are liable for any damage you cause to our property whilst you are here.

​

• Please do not allow your children to run free around our property. 

​

• We encourage all owners to bring their pet's own bedding which has familiar smells for heightened comfort however, pets who do not come with their own will be provided with bedding by us throughout their stay. We will do our best to keep your pets belongings in good condition, but all items are left at the owner’s risk and we accept no responsibility for loss or damage.​
