Sophie set up Playful Paws in 2018 to provide an incredible fun experience for dogs. With the help of her mum Linda this grew in to a great thing for the dogs and owners.

With years of combined experience from here in New Zealand to overseas in Thailand, rescuing /rehoming and rehabilitating hundreds of canines - working with dogs, we bring a true can do attitude to everything we do!

At Playful Paws Pet Lodge, we believe every dog deserves more than just a place to stay—they deserve a place where they can feel safe, loved, and genuinely excited to be.

Located on our rural property in Turua, we provide dog boarding, daycare, and cattery services in a relaxed country setting where pets can enjoy fresh air, exercise, socialisation, and plenty of individual attention.
